3D printing technology allows for creation of individualized bone implants

Cluster members Stefan Baudis from TU Vienna and associate member Lithoz are featured in a TV report produced by Austrian TV channel Puls4.

Together they present and explain the great potential of 3D printing for generating individualized bone implants. As every case and patient is unique, 3D printed scaffolds are a game changer for bone tissue reconstruction. The Christian Doppler Laboratory for Advanced Polymers for Biomaterials and 3D Printing at TU Vienna is constantly working to further improve the photopolymers used to form the implants.

The video is part of the TV show Road to Digital Austria. It will air on multiple channels in November and December 2020 and is also available online via the Puls4 media library: https://www.puls4.com/cafepuls/Videos/beitraege/Grosse-Hoffnung-in-der-Medizin
